Who we are
Clear Reverse ("we") runs clearreverse.com, an independent education site about reverse mortgages (mainly the FHA-insured HECM) for homeowners 62 and older in Utah, Idaho and nearby Western states. We are not a lender or mortgage broker, and we are not affiliated with HUD, FHA or any government agency. See About Clear Reverse.
What our guide form collects
Our free guide form is provided by Jotform, a form service. When you send it, we receive:
- the age of the youngest homeowner, your home ZIP code, and whether the home is your primary residence;
- your estimated home value and current mortgage balance;
- your first and last name and your email address;
- your mobile phone number, only if you choose to give it (it is optional);
- whether you checked either optional box (email updates, text messages); and
- the page you were on and which link on our site brought you to the form.
If you use our estimator first, it copies the age, home value and balance you entered into the form so you don't have to type them again. The estimator runs in your browser and sends nothing by itself. Jotform also records basic technical details with each form, such as the date and time and your IP address.
We never ask for your Social Security number, bank or card details, or health information. Please don't send them to us.
How we use it
- To email you the guide you asked for. You get it whether or not you check any box.
- If you checked the email-updates box, to email you if a licensed lender ever becomes available in your state. Checking it does not share your information with anyone.
- To answer your emails and keep the site working, secure and free of spam.
- To see which pages and links lead people to the guide, so we can improve our guides.
Who we share it with
We do not currently share your information with any lender, and we do not sell it. We share it only with companies that run parts of the site for us, and only so they can do that work:
- Jotform runs the guide form and stores the forms you send.
- Cloudflare hosts the website. Like any web host, it handles standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and block attacks.
- The email service we use to send the guide receives your name and email address.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers on this site today. During your visit, your browser's session storage remembers which page and link brought you to the form, and that is sent with the form. The embedded Jotform form may set its own cookies; see Jotform's privacy policy.
Calls and text messages
Clear Reverse does not call or text anyone. No lender is named today, so no texts will be sent. If that ever changes, we will update this page and our Lending Partners page first, and the form will name the lender before you can agree to anything.
Your choices
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
- See, correct or delete your information: email hello@clearreverse.com. We will handle these requests wherever you live.
How long we keep it
We keep form information only as long as we need it to send the guide, answer you and keep basic records, and we delete it when you ask unless the law requires us to keep it. Exact retention periods will be set during the attorney review.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no way of sending or storing data is completely secure.
Children
This site is for adults and is not directed to children under 13.

We will post any changes here and update the "Last updated" date.
